I Have Been:
a graphic designer, a photographer, an author, creative director in an advertising agency, copywriter, senior designer, creative director in my own company.

I Am:
writing my second novel, Working Title: Troublesome Times, which is set in the 1850s mid west. I used post chapters here as I wrote the first draft, as a way to motivate myself. It worked, and now I’ve deleted them - that purpose has been served and I’m now up to 30,000 words. I’ll still post bits of research I stumble across, but this Tumblr may well change direction over the coming months. 

I Wish To Be:
a full-time writer, researcher or photographer. My first novel was published nearly 20 years ago. It was always something I’d wanted to continue doing, but shit happened and I got a bit distracted. Between one damned thing and another I have a chance over the while to do some things, and getting back into writing and studying is one of them.

Dislikes:
being bored, small talk, people, noise, roses, mornings, cities, liars, fence-sitters, oppressors, ditherers, bullshitters and self-aggrandising fuckwits.
